1. Great location, walking distance from Paddington station and Heathrow Express. Front desk staff seem a bit inexperienced and reluctant to offer requested assistance. Requests for early check-in request and use of phone for free call were met with a response of "not possible", "manager does not allow it". However, eventually they relented and allowed me to use phone and room was ready a hour earlier than official check-in time. Room was newly renovated, clean and tidy. Nice touch of fresh flowers. All in all, considering the price, you should not be expencting 5 star service or amenties. The location is the best part.

2. This hotel has Air Conditioning controls in the rooms, but they were not connected, also the in-room safes were not working, and we had to use a central safe at reception, which at one point no-body could open.... Could also use a bar with available food. Staff with more fluency in English would be better.
