1. An excellent place to stay with spectacular lake and mountain views from both room and balcony. Although the location is a little out of the city (you need to drive or take a bus or boat into town, about 10 minutes), the views and service are worth the inconvenience.

2. We reserved for 6 nights a quiet standard room on the website - there was no choice of upgrade - and were given a shabby side room that had considerable noise from the road. There were three webs on the ceiling with live spiders waiting for mosquitoes. We changed to a quiet rear room on the top floor, but with noise from the lift. The room was clean but shabby. No air-conditioning meant the room was stuffy and hot at night - we were too worried about mosquitoes/midges to open the window. Although the hotel is good 4 star with excellent food, our standard room was only 2-3 star. The lift was also old and a bit eccentric. We might stay again but only in a superior room.
