1. A brand new resort, it is found on the quiet northern beach of Samed.. the hotel itself is v.nice. New bungalows and amenities, great pool, restaurant right on the beachline. Breakfast is included as is more than adequate. Really impressed by the resort. The main beach with restaurants etc, Saikiew, is 25 min walk away. Alternatives are Tuk Tuk, or inexpensively hire a motorbike which are easy to drive, cost around 300 Bt a day incl petrol. Yes there are cheaper bungalows on Samed. Many old ones are very tired & grotty. The main beach is very crowded. The hotel provides a free boat, which leaves Ban Phe from Seree Pier (says Saree on this site). There are many piers, so ask for this one. The resort has an air con office at the pier in Ban Phe. Great Service. Samed Club is a great option for those with a little more money, who want a bit of peace on a quieter beach, in a modern bungalow, who are prepared to wander into town if they want to or hire a motorbike.
