2. Nice people working there. Very helpful. The breakfast ladies can't speak much French or English, and can sometimes take quite a while to get your food to you. Like a lot of major squares in Paris, it can get a little noisy at night, but all in all, this is a good hotel for the price. I've been back there twice after the first time. The Moulin Rouge and the long row of sex shops next to it are only a couple of blocks away. For me, this was a negative, as I had a group of high school kids with me and needed to avoid walking in that direction. They never knew what was just around the corner, fortunately. The Place de Clichy, where the hotel is, has a much different feel to it. It is a good place to be, with a movie theater, numerous restaurants, banks, etc. and a handy metro stop.
