1. The hotel itself is very clean and the staff are very helpful, with nearly all speak very good english! The surrounding neighbourhood is nothing to rave about, being in the middle of a light commerical/industrial area and with a strange aray of bars, not exactly my scene however, one block over. That aside, my girlfriend and I felt safe. Two Metro stations are within a 5 minute walk allowing you to get into the central city very easily! All in all an immaculate hotel. 17-May-072. This hotel was recommended to us by [website] as a substitute hotel as our original request was fully booked. However the location was entirely unsatisfactory and was in what appeared to be an industrial area about a 30 minute walk from Port Olympic and a small beach. We were 40 euros a day in taxi fares getting into the Plaza Catalunya and La Rambla area as this is where we wanted to be. We visited the hotel originally requested and it was no more than a 10 minute walk from the La Rambla area so we would not have incurred taxi fares.
