1. The Hotel is located in the Parioli area Rome (near to the Borghese park, zoo and the embassies). It is approximately 20 minutes walk from the centre however the walk is shaded (through the park) and very safe / beautiful. There is a very good tram at the end of the road. The benefit of staying in this hotel is that this area is very well to do and authentic so avoids tourist trap restaurants etc. However it has a feel of last being loved circa 1970 with faded grandeur, in need of TLC and a good spring clean. The receptionists were sullen, spoke little English and had cancelled our booking prior to arrival. Elizabeth Wilson, United Kingdom
02-Aug-072. Staff, although friendly enough, are not able to offer a great deal of information about Rome...i.e congestion zone in central Rome for cars, etc. That is not the fault of the front desk staff, more an issue that the Hotel does not take basic steps to ensure customers have a stress-free, more pleasant stay. The location is fine for tourists with hired cars, (I hired a car from the airport and there was plenty of parking spaces available in the streets around the Hotel and in the nearby square at 1euro per hour), but for guests who might want to explore central Rome and have the flexibility of returning to the Hotel a few times during the day, I wouldn't recommend they stay here. It's cheap for the area it's in...but with no air-conditioning in the rooms, I would not stay here in the summer months, no matter how cheap the room rates are! Anonymous
