1. The hotel (very good breakfast choice) was really good value for money (booked via hotel club) and the pool area, although strictly controlled, was a welcome relief from the July heat. The hotel is approxiamately a 10 Euro ride into town and the Vatican is within walking distance. It may be too remote for some visitors who want to pop in and out of the city centre as taxi costs can build up, but there are enough shops/cafes close by if you prefer to spend some time relaxing around the pool before or after a trip to the city.
