1. The Island Pacific is a hotel that has a 'grand' feeling to it. It isn't olde world grand, but is grand in a 1980's way. It's perfect for a quick stop over - you wouldn't have to leave your hotel if you desired. The restaurant is very good, the food is either a la carte or buffet. The breakfast offers a wide variety of cuisines. The swimming pool area is fascinating as you can see the apartments of the Hong Kong residents. It's clean and neat although very slightly dated, but only compared to very modern refurbed hotels. The surrounding area is very chinese and interesting, it offers a glimpse into the seafood tastes of Hong Kong. Damian Towns, United Kingdom
