1. VERY FRIENDLY, GREAT LOCATION A great place to stay if you are looking for character rather than the typical large hotel. And all the staff were so friendly - nothing was too much trouble. Great location right in the heart of Chinatown, plus the MRT is just a short stroll away to take you anywhere in Singapore. The only criticism is that the rooms are very small and if you have a lot of baggage it's a real squeeze. Plus there's only stairs, no lift, so taking heavy bags up the stairs is exhausting, particularly if you are on the 3rd floor. But the staff are so friendly that it really was a pleasure staying here. Leonie Williams, Australia
