1. This hotel was everything we could ask for and more. Boutique hotel in Trastervere near the Santa Maria Basilica. It is the old quarter and surrounded with small cafe's and restaurants and night life. It was also a lot closer to all the attractions than we thought and walking distance to most. We walked to St. Peters at one end and the Coloseum at the other. If you like an old style hotel, with modern comfortable rooms facing out onto a quiet court yard, good service and excellent breakfast we highly recommend it.

2. We can't praise the location and service at the Hotel Santa Maria too highly. A quiet hotel in Rome is an absolute find. The welcome was warm and friendly as was the rest of the service especially at breakfast.
