1. Stayed four nights in august 2007. No lift, no frills, old building with car parking ($15/night) in good location. Rooms could be cleaner but have everything you need including crisp clean sheets, very comfortable bed, good shower... Some rooms over Glebe Point Road would be noisy - go for rooms at back. Staff very friendly and helpful. We didn't have the breakfast, opting for tea/coffee facilities in the room and delicious pastries from the continental patisserie across the road, but hotel breakfast is well priced. Would stay again. Carla&Donal DOOLAN, Australia
31-Aug-072. Good value for money! The building will never win any architectural prizes but the room was fine except for the noise from both and inside the hotel. This was the only real niggle we had. Carelessly slammed doors were a nuisance, especially at night. People talking outside sometimes sounded as if they were actually in the room - seems accoustic insulation was not considered when the place was built! Traffice noise (our room was very close to the road) especially from buses starting up was also a pain but this tended to die out at nightime. Unlike some other reviewers, we didn''t have any water pressure problems but maybe because we were on the first floor - we don''t know about the higher level rooms! A bit more variety at breakfast (only juice, cereal, toast, tea/coffee) would have been appreciated. Overall, we would stay there again - but maybe ask for a room away from the traffic noise!
