1. We were placed in an adjoining building which they call CASABIANCA. The common areas of this building looked more like an old people's home rather than a hotel. Whilst we were entirely satisfied with the cleanliness of the room, the shower was abnormally small and was almost difficult to move into. The rooms /showers definitely need a major overhaul because they are dull and the furniture not well kept. The brochures we saw and the presentation of the hotel over the Internet do not give a fair view of the actual condition and standard of the hotel. When we tried to lodge a complaint a few hours after arrival on a Saturday, we were very arrogantly treated by the reception staff and were told that we could not even speak to anyone before the next Monday since it was the weekend. Overall we were not satisfied with THE GARDEN and shall not consider it for future stays in Toscana. Joseph Aquilina, Malta
15-Jun-072. This hotel is gorgeous, practically a palace. We were in one of the outbuildings but the room was a good size and very pleasant with a view over the pool. Breakfast was more generous than we were expecting from a "cold buffet" with eggs and bacon included. The pool is fantastic and towels are provided by the hotel for this, although the pool is pretty cold it is good for swimming on a hot afternoon. The location isn't central to the city, but there are plenty of buses, especially the half hourly number 6 from just outside the back entrance. There were buses to the station and tickets (valid for 1 hour) were easily bought from the hotel reception. The conference centre facilities look useful for any businesses or wedding receptions.
