02-Jul-072. I really enjoyed the stay at Barcelona Universal. It looks fresch and the service was good. The integrated stereo in the ceiling was a nice touch, as well as the swimming pool on top of the roof. Right next to a subway station, either 10 min walk to La Rambla or 2 min with the subway. The only negative thing was that, even though there are isolated windows, if you get a room outwards to the main street your're bound to hear the howling of a police car early in the morning. Still, all in all I thought it was an excellent hotel. Vidar Hoff, Norway
