1. Our room is clean and basic with no A/C, also no hair dryer (different from hotel facility info.) but we borrowed one from the front desk (with deposit). Breakfast is served at the nearby sister hotel Monopol, selection is average/adequate. Parking costs 10 CHF per day in the blue zone near the hotel. Hotel is close to train station and the lake, very convenient. This is a much better choice than the more expensive [other hotel] if you prefer a quiet room with basic facilities. 04-Sep-072. Very well located for vist to Lucerne, though hard to locate by car - thank goodness for a GPS system. Room was basic but clean and quiet. Breakfast was very good though it pays to miss the tour crowds as one morning was bedlam because of overcrowding. John Arthur, Australia
