1. Bearing in mind that I'm British, and our hotels have kettles! I was in a basic single room, wide enough for a single bed with 2ft walking space at the side. I could not put my suitcase on the floor. It would not fit this space widthways. The walls were paper thin. No shelves. I had nowhere to put anything. I had to keep my toiletries in my travel-bag on the floor! The only shelf in the room was part of the headboard, and this had a brass striplight fitted built onto it which made it impossible to sit up in bed! Once I got into bed, I had no choice but to lie down, because if I sat up, the light would fit snuggly between my shoulder blades!! Overall, the design of the room was not at all thought out. It was clean and the staff were friendly. Thankfully, my room had a window, as apparently, some of them don't. Kim Anderson, United Kingdom
